The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) offers postgraduate Membership (MRCEM) and Fellowship (FRCEM) examinations to assess, develop, and recognise the knowledge and skills of Emergency Medicine professionals worldwide.
RCEM Exams Department
The RCEM Examinations Department consists of 15 dedicated professionals managing all aspects of the process:

Candidate & Operations Team – managing enquiries, exam applications, and theory exam delivery.

OSCE Operations Team – preparing and delivering UK and international OSCEs.

Quality & Standards Team – ensuring exam quality, question bank development, and results production.
The department works to make the exam experience as smooth as possible, while maintaining the highest professional and regulatory standards.
Introduction to RCEM Examinations
RCEM exams are mapped to the RCEM Curriculum and are designed to test knowledge, application, and clinical skills through Single Best Answer (SBA) papers and Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
